We here at TrUServers believe that you the supporters should have the best quality service possible, whilst at the same time, having as much freedom to use our service as you wish. We will be doing our very best to provide a quality, reliable service at the best possible price for YOU! We can only achieve this with a little help from you - the customer.
To assist us with providing you with the best service possible, while at the same time providing you with maximum freedom to use the service, we must insist on a few basic terms (please see below)...
Terms and Conditions - More Details:
1) Keep a cool head!
Being an admin, you are going to have to deal with a lot of people everyday. Some of them are angry at their jobs, some just want to have some fun, some are trying to play seriously, etc, etc. In short, a lot of different people are going to come and play at our servers. It is up to you to keep the server a fun and decent place for all of them to play. Don't lose your temper over some small thing or for anything at that. We understand that you have problems too, but we don't want that to affect your judgment or decisions in the server. So, please stay calm, relax and judge properly.
2) Be fair and wise
Like the previous rule, be fair and wise. Once again, different people come to play on our servers. Take all opinions into consideration, not just your own. If it is a decision that could affect a player and maybe even stop him from playing entirely, think twice about it. Maybe even consult some of the other admins. Just be more careful and slow on your decisions, don't be too quick with your fingers. Be a good judge and try to act like an adult.is not allowed.
3) Kicking people
On this topic, we have just one simple thing to do. Think twice about it. For example, if someone has been team flashing, making racist comments, screaming angrily about something, spawn camping or in any similar situation. First, warn the person verbally. If he does it again or becomes even more unruly, then slap/slay/bury him. If he still continues to do so, then only may you kick the person. Some reasonable people will actually stop doing the thing that they are doing after the slay or slap. Give them a chance, no need to kick them out and make a big deal out of it.
4) Have fun sometimes too!
OK, we don't want to give you the wrong idea over here, so a little explanation is warranted. Sometimes, it may be that its late in the night or there are very few people in the server. Some may suggest knife fights, some may suggest fun mode, and some may suggest a lot of things. If you feel that the request being made is all right and not too demanding, then put a vote about it. DO NOT IMPLEMENT IT IMMEDIATELY! Always make sure that the general consensus is there with you before you do anything. If the vote is successful and everyone wants it, then by all means go ahead. But make sure that you keep that only for a limited amount of time. Because other people may join the server who don't want that or just the fact that the servers aren't all just knife fights or fun mode. So, choose a time limit for the event that you want to have done and enjoy itin that much time. We are not a prison here, but we do want some limits.
5) Rules for AFK's
Now, we've seen them all the time. Sitting in the spawn, not moving at all. They are tough to deal with, since they aren't there and also mixed feelings and ideas on how to deal with them. Well, here's what we feel is right. First, make sure that the person going AFK checked with you. For example, if someone needed to go AFK, warn the admin giving the amount of time he/she will be AFK. If it is less than 5 minutes, then the person is validated to be AFK. If the admin has been warned about that person going AFK, then he/she shall not be slayed/slapped/buried/teleported or anything of that sort. Now, if someone did go AFK without warning, then for the first round he/she can be slayed/slapped/buried/teleported. If he/she doesn't come back in two rounds, then he/she may be kicked so that other people can join the server. There is no need to keep them in the server for your fun.
6) Banning hackers!
We love to ban them, but yet we should be careful of who we call a hacker. If someone is suspected of performing a hack, observe that person first. Try to confirm it with another admin if one is present. If not, then please get proof of the hacking before you make a decision. Inspect his playing for a minimum of 5 rounds. If more is needed, then by all means go ahead. Please make sure of the persons hacking before you ban him/her. It just maybe that the person is a very good player too. If a ban is to be made, then make a note of the steam ID and have proof ready to support your decision so that if the person comes back claiming ban for unfair reasons, then you have the proof to backup what you did. This is very important and we request that all our admins make sure that they follow procedure when banning hackers. Only if the hacking is outright and very obvious may the admin ban the hacker without the need to get proof of any sort. But in other cases, please follow procedure when doing so.
7) Individual problems!
This has happened many times and we have decided to lay down some guidelines for this. It has happened many times that some admins are not too fond of particular individuals. We are not going to ask you to become best buddies with that person, but we are going to ask you that at least try to talk it out with the person and reach a suitable agreement between the two of you. Please do not make a soap opera out of it for everyone in the world to see or ban that person because of personal dislike. First try to reach an agreement PRIVATELY. If that is not possible, then the case may be presented to the Superior admins or higher management for decision.
8) Llama's!
Once again, please use your good judgment on these sorts of commands. Only to be used if someone is being irritating or not following rules correctly and being an ass about it.
9) YOUR Admin
When a person subscribes to admin, we setup the admin under their name/password. You are absolutely NOT allowed to let others use your admin. If caught, your admin will be terminated immediately.
10) Things that are a no-no!
Some things are just not to be changed and these are going to be listed below. At no point or time may these be done. If so, then you are liable to have your admin powers stripped and possibly even kicked out of the clan.
No changing maps or server settings!
The servers have been chosen wisely and all the important settings have been made. There is no need to make a Dustfest server suddenly become Aztec or something like that. These decisions if needed will only be made by a superior admin and no one else. (Exceptions: Game settings that are accessible at this time are there to be monitored by management such as knives, pistols, shotguns only for CS:S OfficeFest. As well as map changing for CS:S PubFest)
Rush or be slain not to be used!
We are not here to force everyone to keep rushing or camping. The only things we do not allow is Spawn Camping and for that refer to rule Kicking People . Anything else goes and if the person feels like staying back and not rushing, he has the full right to do so.
No removing/adding weapon restrictions!
The servers have been setup with the right restrictions. Please do not attempt to change any of these. If someone doesn't like the AWP, then point them to our no-AWP server. If it is something that is allowed in our servers, then advise them that there is nothing that can be done and either they accept it or join another server. We are here to have fun, but at the same time we cannot cater to the needs of every single individual. After all, we are a democracy, not a dictatorship.
Exec-client commands, unless the person is to be banned!
Please remember that such commands permanently change the users settings, unless reset and manually changed again. Please use such commands only on people who are to be banned or never seen again in CS.
ZombieFest
Abusive use of !stuck command will not be tolerated and will be banned if done so. Teleporting players to your advantage is unfair and appropriate punishment will be given. Remember this is a ZOMBIE MOD, humans try to kill the zombies, humans also try to camp so they won't become a zombie. Let players enjoy the mod without taking advantage of the siutation.
As with all these rules, we ask that you keep a good judgment and try to be a fair admin. We realize that the rules are maybe too much sometimes and its not always possible to be perfect. Mistakes will happen, tempers will fly and a lot of things can happen. We just ask that you keep these rules as a guideline to follow and use them wisely and in good stead. If you feel that some of these rules are maybe just too cumbersome or if some need change, we are glad to take your input on these matters. Change is always needed and we are more than willing to welcome it.
